What Are Negative Ions?

Nature in balance generates positive and negative ions at a ratio of 5:4 per cubic centimeter (cc). In urban areas negative ion production is severely impacted through chemical and electrical (computer monitors, static electricity, televisions) pollution, poor air quality, etc. Our body needs to maintain a balance between positive and negative ions to be healthy. Our blood cells over time become more positively charged becoming weak, which can lead to fatigue, migraine headaches, poor breathing, allergies and overall poor health.

Negative ions are an oxygen atom with an extra electron, which carries a tiny electrically negative charged form generated continuously in Nature by processes such as sunlight, lightning, waves from the ocean, and from waterfalls. The normal Ion count in fresh country air is 2,000 to 4,000 negative Ions per cubic centimeter (about the size of a sugar cube). Where there is a high concentration of negative ions, every time we draw our breath they fill our lungs and are carried by the blood to our body cells. Remember that feeling you've experienced near a waterfall or high in the mountains? Those are two places that thousands of negative ions occur. They create an effect on human biochemistry. At Niagara Falls, you'll experience over 100,000 negative Ions per cubic centimeter.  "Concrete Jungles" minimize the natural production of negative ions by disrupting the delicate electrical balance between the atmosphere and the earth through chemical and electrical pollution, artificial lights, computer components, microwaves, etc. In urban environments the ion count can drop below 100 ions per cubic centimeter, especially in large office buildings.

Our products are designed to provide your body with continuous access to negative ions in urban areas where nature can longer produce them naturally.
