How Negative Ion Products work
Many scientific studies have been conducted over the years showing that negative ions are beneficial to the human body and can improve our health and well-being.
Most of us live in cities, drive on freeways and sit next to computers and televisions, which deprive us of negative ions and expose one heavily to positive ions. Many products have been designed to replenish negative ions in our living environments. The most common type is a negative ion generator, which generates and releases negative ions into the air. There are some studies that show that these devices only populate the air a half-meter to a meter away from the device (without a fan). The study also indicates that less than 15% of the negative ions can be inhaled and absorbed through our lungs; whereas 85% of the negative ions are absorbed through our skin.
WeBe™ products are designed and developed by adding high-grade Negative Ion generating minerals (finely ground tourmaline and germanium) to the silicone. The result of this process causes the silicone bracelets and necklaces to emit greater than 1000 ions per cubic centimeter. By wearing these products next to our skin makes way for maximum absorption of negative ions into our blood stream.
Not all negative ions are the same size; there are small, medium and large ions. The small ions are the ones that are highly mobile and biologically active, which makes it easy for them to be ingestible and absorbed through the skin. Once they reach our bloodstream, negative ions are believed to produce biochemical reactions that increase levels of the mood chemical serotonin, helping to alleviate depression, relieve stress, boost energy and many other benefits.
